4 Simple Steps To Cook A Delicious Steak!
Step 1: Season your steak with salt & pepper.
Be generous with the seasoning both the front and the back of the steak. This is to ensure that your steak has adequate amount of flavours. Especially important for cuts with less stronger flavours!
Step 2: Oil the pan till it‘s hot enough.
This is dependant on the oil and pan you’re using. We recommend using normal vegetable oil as the oil can reach a higher temperature. We need the oil to be hot enough so that the steak can be seared nicely on the outside while you can control the done-ness on the inside.
Step 3: Add in garlic & butter to elevate the flavours of the steak.
Bast the steak
with the butter for the flavours to seep through it. You can consider using flavoured butter such as truffle butter / red wine butter. This is a hack to achieving a steak that's of a restaurant!
Step 4: Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
This step is very important as we need to note that even though the heat of the pan is off, the steak is still undergoing the cooking process due to the heat trapped inside the meat. So cook it slightly a few seconds lesser to the done-ness desired and let the resting do the rest of the cooking.
